Our projects

Use of polymers in climate change conditions
The problem is a worldwide need to accelerate the regeneration of renewable sources in the timber industry.
The goal of the project is to apply the results of research regarding the hydrogel impact on the seedlings vitality and growth properties of selected tree species into practice whilst cooperating with established partners from the scientific environment.
The result will be effective forest seedlings management, material savings, as well as the possibility of wood species regeneration in areas where the lack of moisture and rainfall was an identified problem which made timber cultivation activity impossible so far.
enviroNOVA
The problem is the visible impact of climate change - extreme drought, heavy rains, floods, biodiversity change, and others.
The goal is the establishment and contribution of the enviroNOVA environmental research center which will be focused on innovative technological and process innovations in the field of ecology, climatology, flora, digitization, sustainability, and renewability of resources in cooperation with established partners.
The result will be a local transformation of biodiversity, improvement of the local climate, technological and energetical modernization in the region, benefits of digitization and use of innovative technologies in manufacturing, wood sector, and enviro area, employment growth due to new businesses as a result of eco-innovation incubator and accelerator, intensification of cooperation with business and education sectors, improving supplier-customer and business relations.
Biocomposite line - integrated recycling with production
The problem is that the analysis of Slovakia's ecological footprint in the global context has unequivocally confirmed that the current evolution, i.e. economic growth, is in its essence liquidating for human society and the resources intended for our future generations are already being used.
The goal of the project is the implementation of a biocomposite line which will produce a composite material from pre-treated input raw materials. It will on the one hand eliminate all significant undesirable properties of wood, and on the other hand emphasize the maximum resistance of plastic and aesthetic-visual effect of wooden surface – creating so-called Wood-Plastic Composite. This technology is fully in line with the objectives of the circular economy, while maintaining the value of products and materials for as long as possible in order to minimize waste and the use of new resources.
The result will be a new model of resource utilization that will ensure not only a high quality of modern life, but also the protection of the natural environment. The ecological aspect of the use of wood plastic in relation to production means the processing of wood mass (waste) of common species, whilst saving raw wood, processing recyclable polymers, and by being a fully recyclable material without the need for any protective coatings reducing the ecological burden on the environment.
